The Project: Testimony (Some Words With A Bajillion Pictures)

You know those times that you think it's Saturday, but you later realize that it is Friday?  Everything in your life points to Friday and yet your brain is saying "Tomorrow is Sunday, you will have plenty of time to post about The Project then."  That happened to me.  On Friday.  Which is why I did not post anything yesterday and why I am posting this today.

If you are not following any of that, it's ok.  None of those words mattered.  At all.

Moving on to words that do matter...

Our ALIVE team performed an original drama on Friday and Saturday night. We, as a team; wrote, directed and acted... and God turned our efforts into something good.  We realized quickly on Thursday (the night before opening night) that we were going to have to rely on God if we wanted anything good to happen.

We had come to the end of ourselves.  We had prepared all that we could and now it was time for God to take over.

And He did just that.

Before both shows we prayed over the areas of the church that we would be using.  We has someone praying backstage, on the stage, in the art gallery, over the tech area, in the audience chairs... all over!  We needed the building and all the things in it dedicated to God and the work he wanted to do in it.

We prayed over the character's testimonies and the actors testimonies.  That they would be used in a powerful way.

All our work was done and ready... now all we had to do was focus, and rely on the Holy Spirit to get the message across.

We were blown away by how both nights went!  Everything went so perfectly... which was unexpected, to say the least.

Here is the team.  Our awkward and abnormal cast.

Who (aside from being awkward and abnormal) are also smart, humble, gifted, hard-working and willing teenagers.

A group that was put together by The God who sees the big picture.

A group that was lead by 3 girls and 1 guy.  4 people who said "ok" when God said "do".

And, boy are we glad that we did!

We took simple steps. We worked hard.  We trusted.  We were blessed!

I'm in no way bragging on how great we are.  I just want to say that when we say "yes" to God when He say's "do", that He will show up and make our efforts into something powerful.

And that is the Testimony of the ALIVE team-  God showed up!  He worked in the hearts of the audience and in our's.  He has poured His blessings on us, and we are thankful :)

What is your Testimony?  What has God done in your life?  Our testimonies are powerful!  They are meant to be used... so realize what He has done, and SHARE IT!
