As of yesterday at about 4:30 pm... I am a brand new auntie! This is my first little nephew and I am just so excited! I love that little Jackson Thomas is going to be so close in age with his soon-coming
cousin Vandis Thomas... they will be such good friends! Peyton and I went to visit the little guy last night before church, but he was under a couple hours of observation when we arrived so we
couldn't see him. We were a little
disappointed, but we'll try to go back sometime today to see him :) I'm glad that my mother-in-law posted some pictures on
facebook that I could use for this blog post... here is little Jackson getting his blood work done. He looks just like a perfect combination of his mommy and daddy!
What a CUTIE! So far being an auntie is fairly uneventful... Peyton and I got to go shopping for our new nephew/cousin at our favorite place, Target, yesterday before we went to the hospital... that was fun! But what I am really looking forward to is being able to do fun things this summer with the kids! Here's what I'm picturing...

tan body parts (mostly just me, but Peyton rocked a pretty good newborn tan last summer)

parks
swing sets
fresh fruit
fresh AIR!

smiles/laughs/and giggles
Ohhh how I can hardly wait for the summertime with my new baby nephew, my new baby boy, and my big baby girl!

Congratulations Auntie! How fun Peyton and Vandis will have playing with cousins and friends! I hope I'm invited to some of those summer functions. Fun times ahead with Aunts, Uncles, cousins, friends and grandparents! :)
