2 Months Old (+ 1 Day)

I'm just going to start off by saying that I can hear a June Bug outside my window trying to get past the screen into my house.  I'm a little paranoid that it's going to get in somehow so I've devised a plan.  If the June Bug gets in my room I'll grab Vandis, bolt out the door, slam it shut, sleep in the guest room, and call someone to come exterminate my bedroom.  By call "someone" I mean my friend David who lives across the street (who came over last year when I called from inside my bathroom because a June bug had gotten into my dining room and Ryan was gone)... not an actual exterminator, because that would be crazy.

Today (yesterday) Vandis is... 2 months old! I don't know how it happened either!  He was weighed and measured today at the doctor and here are the results...

weight: 10lbs 9oz

length: 23 in

head: 35 cm

What a man!  He got his first round of shots today.  Not fun.  For me or him. 

Here's what's up with YOU, Vandis...

You look more like a little boy and less like a baby every day.

Your God-given mohawk that used to stand straight up is now flopping a bit because of the length.  We'll get it cut once dad comes home in a month... you'll be fly again soon, no worries.

You have a few "smiley times" throughout the day where you just look at me and smile smile smile.  It's my favorite.

Your incredibly gassy.  Even the doctor thinks so.  You showed off quite nicely for her today.  Momma's so proud.

You grab onto my hair with a death grip every time I'm holding you.

You are in size 1 diapers and 0-3 month clothes.

You wake up twice a night to eat... it would be 3 times a night if your momma went to bed at a normal hour.

You like to be swaddled into a little baby burrito.

You love your swing more than anything else in the world.

You are LOVED very much by your momma, sister, daddy... and lots of other people too :)
