Peyton is napping in her crib
Vandis is napping in his vibrating chair.
I am blogging and enjoying the peace :)
{Good} Friday
Peyton, Vandis, my friend Jillian, her sister Jordan and I all piled into the van and met my brother Joseph and his girlfriend Ashley at the mall. It was a rainy day... very sad out, so the mall was a great option! Joseph (my super-duper nice and helpful brother) watched Peyton and Vandis in the kid's area while us girls shopped!
On the way home Peyton finished her vanilla shake...
That was fun for everyone.
That night was the Good Friday service at church. Peyton got to hang out with her grandparents while Van and I went to the service and then out to eat with some friends afterward.
Saturday
My friend from high school, Melissa (who has a CUTE blog... check her out), and her son Joshua came over to play for a while. Joshua is just a couple months younger than Peyton... yes younger. You wouldn't think it by looking at him :)
They climbed...
Played...
Shared...
Maybe not...
And learned how to be gentle around a new baby... because
Melissa is about ready to pop! A little boy, due in just a couple weeks!
Joshua did great! He is going to be a fantastic big brother!!!
As you may have already seen here, we dyed eggs like pros here on Saturday night.
What a fun time spent with my family!
{Easter} Sunday
He is RISEN, He is RISEN INDEED!
Our day started out with Easter baskets for Peyton and Vandis...
One excited baby
One would be excited... but I can't move baby
After Easter baskets were "found" we got ready for church... and got there EARLY! Way to go us! After church we headed up to Brainerd with my sister, Ana. We drove the 2 hours with a short stop at the liquor store... parking lot! To nurse, of course... geez who do you think we are... the liquor store on Easter morning. Psh! After a while of fighting it... Peyton FINALLY fell asleep. For about 45 min.
Once we got to Brainerd, we ate lunch! We were sure hungry! After lunch, Vandis spent the time inside being held by lots of people that love him... including his Great Grandma.
The rest of us stayed outside in the beautiful WINDY weather.
We flew kites
Thank you wind for making it so entertaining!
Peyton posed for lots
and lots
and lots
of pictures.
There were cousins untangling kite strings,
and cousins running around like crazy...
only taking a break to fly a kite.
Because that's how we do Easter Sunday in Brainerd!
After being there for a couple hours, we headed back towards home to make a stop in Ramsey for the Heineman side Easter Celebration! Here's what Peyton did during the ride down.
What she didn't do was sleep. Making her nap total for the entire 14 hour day 45 minutes. Perfect.
Once we got to Grandma and Grandpa's House, we ate dinner, looked for our Easter Baskets outside, and enjoyed a fire!
Uncle Josh and Vandis
Uncle Chris and Peyton
Grandma and Vandis
Grandpa and Peyton (who was feeling the effects of not taking a nap in the car)
We are so blessed to have all this family so close by! It makes for a busy Easter, but I wouldn't want it any other way :)
I hope your Easter weekend was memorable, relaxing, exciting, and filled with joy because our Savior is alive!

That's about how long Joshua napped yesterday too... except his nap was at 5:30 last night. Good this grandparents usually know how to keep them happy when they are beyond exhausted!!
Hahaha...that last picture, not sure whose looking more tired, Peyton or Grandpa. Good blog Sarah, it was a fun Easter and yeah...spending it with family, the best!
