Thankful

I am so thankful for my family being so close to me during this time away from my husband. Today my brother Joseph came with me to travel an hour and 2o minutes (one way) for a dresser that I found on craigslist. It was only $25 and was so perfect... I am so glad that I decided to go for it! I'll do a before and after post on it soon once I finish working on it :)

On top of driving with me and hauling my dream dresser into and from the van, my brother babysat the Peyster tonight while I had some girl time with my BSF friends... what a guy! On top of babysitting my little lady, and hauling my dresser back and forth, he ALSO shoveled my driveway :) I was parked in the driveway, so when they association came by to plow, they couldn't get the area around my car... therefore there was a lovely moat of snow surrounding it. So fun. But, the brother took care of it :) I am so so glad!

Thanks Joseph!

Before I go for the night, I also wanted to say how thankful I am for my BSF group. Tonight we had our group "fellowship" time (basically just a hang out, where we eat too much delicious food) and it was so great! I learn a lot about who God is from these ladies and I love that everyone is able to share something different even though we're all studying the same thing. Like our group leader and my good friend Steph was saying... God is so PERSONAL! He is with us all in different ways... he teaches us all different things. That is why when you are in a small group setting it is so important to say what you are learning... God uses ALL OF US to paint a picture. If you don't share your part then everyone will be missing out. Sad, right?

On top of the spiritual growth that happened tonight, I was also encouraged by the generous ladies in this group who want to help me with meals and babysitting... and anything else I can think of! I am so beyond thankful for the body of Christ that surrounds me and my family. I don't know how I would do it without them. I can not even begin to tell you how many people (aside from Ryan's and my immediate families, which I am so thankful for as well) have told me that they are available for whatever I need in these next months and to not hesitate to call. I am so so blessed. The body of Christ working together is so beautiful.

Thank you to all my friends and family reading this, you are so special to me and I am THANKFUL for YOU!

We don't realize how much the body of Christ does until we are in need. Remember my accident? While I was in the hospital everyone in our family was so well taken care of with meals and such. I love my church family!
Thanks for sharing this Sarah, your sharing blesses me and reminds me of all the things I can be so greatful for.
Our God is amazing, awesome, personal and beautiful. So greatful He is in my life!

Oh, dear beautiful friend you are so sweet! I missed our fellowship last night (sad), but my dearest hubby needed to work, I had no babysitter (free ones anyway!) and so the little ones and I bonded at Walmart instead. Fun, right? :) I'm glad you got to go and I'm glad it was a blessing for you!
