spit up... mmm

oh how wonderful to get to "play house"everyday. i am so blessed that i'm able to stay home with my baby girl, i am so thankful!

i love all the moments i get to experience with her, although sometimes messy they are all so precious. let's talk about the ever-lovely spit up. miss p is a very spit up-y baby... we always have a bib on her (something my husband suggested after about a week of changing outfits at least 4 times a day) which isn't always the most cute thing, but it is sure helpful. now, there are a couple of instances that i have come across recently that the bib does not solve.

  1. the body clearing spit up

  2. the rogue spit up

the body clearing spit up happened at about 4 am 2 nights ago. after feeding my hungry baby i laid her on the bed to change her stinky diaper. right after i zipped her sleeper up and before i picked her up to put her in the bassinet she managed to display "the body clearing spit up" beautifully. before i knew a geyser shot from my little angel and my leg (yes MY leg) was drenched. i was more surprised than anything as i checked her sleeper for wetness and not even a drop was found! way to go little one!

the rogue spit up happened just this morning. while i was changing the little lady on her most used "changing table" otherwise known as my husband and my bed, she spit up... a normal occurrence, right? well this time the spit up had plans of its own. it went rogue and made its way up her face into her nose and even her eyes! o my poor baby! she's a tough one though, she didn't even cry!

just another thought... regarding bathing.

if the baby doesn't look dirty, or smell dirty... the baby is clean. no need for a bath :) even with all the spit up. and if there is really no time for a bath... the family dog licking will suffice. ;)
