finally today, miss p and i went over to grandma and grandpa heineman's and made christmas cookies. unfortunately i was too busy baking that i didn't get any pictures :( but i did get a picture of what i made for dinner tonight!
i got the recipe for the no-yeast crust from steph at sharing the pages of life.
so delish!
also... just a word of encouragement that i was reminded of in a conversation with my mother-in-law today...
God can use ANYTHING for his glory. even though we as humans don't always make the right decisions... God can work in bad situations and bad choices. just ask Him how you can make your mistakes into something He can use, and listen for His answer. He'll probably surprise you! really!!! i mean, He even can gain glory from someone who doesn't want any glory to go to Him...
Exodus 14: 1-4
1 Then the LORD said to Moses, 2 "Tell the Israelites to turn back and encamp near Pi Hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea. They are to encamp by the sea, directly opposite Baal Zephon. 3 Pharaoh will think, 'The Israelites are wandering around the land in confusion, hemmed in by the desert.' 4 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and he will pursue them. But I will gain glory for myself through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD." So the Israelites did this.
AMEN!

You have become quite the chef. such wonderful food. You will have to cook for your mom and dad sometime! Thank you also for the encouraging words. Our God is so faithful and true to His word. He is glorified in the most unusual ways from a lowly birth in a manger to death on a cross. He uses the most humble to make great His name. What an amazing God we serve!
