house work

today is ryan's day off and he has been working on our house :) we bought a townhome at the end of august this year and we have been working on it since the first day we moved in. we bought it knowing that with the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it had potentional, but lots of cosmetic work needed to be done. ryan is a pretty handy guy and already lots paint has been rolled onto the walls... and wallpaper ripped off. not the most fun someone could have on his day off, but he dosen't complain. it is looking better already, and not nearly everything is done! we are still waiting for our first time home buyer tax credit to come, and once we have that we can really get moving! i am so thankful for this house and i know i am going to LOVE it once everything is done :)



one of my best friends alissa moved down to texas for a teaching job this past august and she just came home for thanksgiving this past week. it was so so good to see her! we suprised her at her parents house the day she flew in, so fun! she never saw it coming! of course i brought the lovely miss p to meet auntie alissa, so cute! i'm happy it's only 3 weeks till she comes home again... miss that girl!


the husband is about to go out and pick up some new lights for our tree and we're going to get decorating! yay! i wish it was always christmas! i love how everything looks, all cozy and warm. so exciting! i'll make sure to put some pictures up soon... i don't know how soon for sure, but they will get up!
