Friday
Happy Birthday to ME! :) Friday was my 23rd birthday and it was so much fun! My toddler let me sleep in (which was the best gift she could have given me) and before I knew it, it was time to meet up with my friend Michelle (who I met through BSF this year... also, she has a cute blog... check her out!) who also has a June 3rd birthday. We celebrated by going to a few garage sales, and then having a picnic lunch at a park with our kids!
Friday night my church hosed a youth event called Revolution. There were 4 bands, an IPad 2 giveaway, a speaker, and a testimony/invitation given by one of the high schoolers from my church who is also the lead singer in one of the performing bands "Slaves to Righteousness". This is the 3rd year that Revolution has taken place... and it was a huge success! There were 10 first time commitments to Jesus, and 62 (maybe 63? I can't remember) re-commitments to Jesus! Can I get an AMEN?!?! Here are some pictures of the night...
Me and one of the members from STR, Shane. I've known him since he was just a little guy... my bff's little brother :)
Love Out Loud (feat. Zach and Shane from STR for this song)
Love Out Loud again. PS. Vandis, I will fully support you wanting to be in a band that influences people for Christ.
Here is ALIVE ready to perform a human video to Skillet's Awake and Alive.
I'm hoping to have a video of this soon... I'll post it when I get it.
After Revolution, we went out to Applebees because we were STARVING and also to celebrate my birthday. Love these girls :)
Ryan was able to send some flowers... the card read "Dear Sarah, I would cut down a tree and carve you a toothpick if you had steak in your teeth. I love you forever. -Ryan" I love that man.
Saturday
Saturday started with practice for The Puzzle with the team going to Miami next week. I'll admit that going into the practice I was worried they wouldn't be able to get it down in 2 practices... but by the end of the morning it looked GREAT! The kids did such a great job!
After practice, we ran home, and the kids napped while I quickly got ready for wedding number 1 of 6 this summer. Kyle and Jonna met at our friend Josh and Ria's wedding. Jonna is Ria's sister and Kyle's family has been really close with Josh's family for many years. They were a perfect match! It was a joy to be able to celebrate with them at their wedding. Peyton enjoyed an afternoon/evening with her grandma and great aunt while Vandis enjoyed an evening with his momma, nana, grandpa, and about 500 others. He did OK during the ceremony and ended up falling asleep after the dinner and before the dancing. Perfect! I had a fun time getting my cardio on during the reception... dancing is the BEST workout!
Here are some pictures of the wedding...
The venue, decorations, and couple were all gorgeous!
Oh, and we were table number 1... read it O.N.E. booyah!
My sleeping babe.
The food was super delicious!
We toasted with sparkling lemonade... oh, and did I mention we were table #1?
Yummy dessert :)
