I haven't blogged since leaving Tulsa so I just wanted to let you all know that it is not because we got in a terrible car accident and died. It's also not because I was too tired to blog after getting home at midnight on Sunday night. And it's definitely not because I was having a pity party of laziness on Monday because I had been in the car for 15 hours the day before. I make the most of every second of every day. I would never waste time being lazy. It's just not my style.
Now, my daughter on the other hand... was having a pity party of laziness on Monday. She didn't even change out of her jammies that she wore all day in the car on Sunday. She never so much as ran a brush through her hair! She just kept the braid in that I did on Saturday morning. I mean, just look at this girl...
Hair all in her eyes, dirty tank top... see what I live with! That's why I didn't blog yesterday...or the day before. I was too busy reading books, and having tea with a dirty one and a half year old. It's all her fault. Don't blame me!
Oh you can blame him too...
Anyways, now that we know who the real trouble makers are... let me show you what the drive home was like.
That was about it. Well that and some happy and not so happy awake time. Oh, and an accidental 95 mile detour. Oh, and the realization that Iowa is actually really pretty.
I had no idea.
I mean it's not pretty enough to overpower my need for a Target within 10 minutes of my home...
But I can totally appreciate it while the sun is setting and I'm on my way home.
If we had crashed and died... this probably would have been when it would have happened.
Good thing that we didn't.
Taking pictures of Iowa out of your car window is not the way you'd want to go.
. . . . . . . . . . .
I've been a little bit obsessed with a book... (I rarely read... so this is kind of a big deal) I read 3/4 of it last night, and I'll finish it tonight. I might blog a bit about it. We'll see.
Oh, but remember, that's not the reason I didn't blog the last 2 days.
It's because of them.
Goodnight!

Ugh, I cringed when you said 95 mile detour! That's terrible!!!! I can't even imagine road tripping with my kids for more than 2 hours let alone FIFTEEN!
