Weekend Recap

Scene:

Toddler- Sleeping in her room
Baby- Sleeping on his mom... nope... stirring/possibly waking on his mom... back to sleep now?  (you get the idea)
Momma- Sitting on the couch looking at the mostly picked up living room and dining room and being very thankful for the wall that is blocking the disastrous kitchen mess

Friday
I've been sitting here for a good minute and a half trying to remember what I did on Friday.  It must have been really exciting.

Ok it's coming back to me now... and let me just say... it was a THRILLING day!  You will just love to hear all about it :)

It was PAYDAY!

(With Ryan getting a government paycheck, we were happy to see our full amount, even though it came in 2 parts... Praise the Lord!)

I made our budget.  Ran to the bank. Picked up a couple things at Target.  Dropped my princess off at her Grandma and Grandpa's house.  Made it home in time to pick up the house before people came over for FPU and time learning about Roth IRA's.  If you just walk into a financial planning office and tell them "I need some Mutual Roth action"  you'll be set!  Trust me!  I learned it from Dave :)

Don't actually do that.  You will look like a fool.

Saturday
I remember Saturday.  It was a bit more exciting :)

Uncle Josh, Auntie Megan, and Cousin Jaxon (Ryan's Brother and sister-in-law and their new baby) came over to watch Peyton while I went and did Miss Chelsea's hair and makeup for her Senior Prom!  So so fun!  Her dress was GORGEOUS, I wish I would have taken more pictures... but we we're running out of time toward the end!

Check out that BLING! :) Super cute girl!  Hope you had so much fun Chelsea!

Vandis and I came home to the smell of heaven in the form of pork ribs cooking in the crock pot.  It doesn't get much better than that!  Josh had been cooking them for a couple hours for a "Happy 26th Wedding Anniversary" dinner for Ryan's parents!  The meal was delicious and was followed up by some yummy lemon cake that Megan and Peyton had made earlier that day.

Did I take pictures?  Yes.
Of the food, cake, the couple?  No.
Just of Jaxon.

Now how can you be mad at me after looking at that cute face?

Sunday
Another day of amazing worship and learning at church this week.  As usual we are among the last to leave the building and the kids are just kind of used to it by now.  Here is Peyton coloring with her best friend Olivia.

Yep, these two will be BFF for life! BFF4L!  Woot woot!  I think Peyton just got embarrassed of me for typing that while sleeping in her crib.

After church the kids and I had lunch with Jillian and Erika at Olive Garden!  Mmm soup, salad and bread sticks... DELISH!

That looks like a cell phone picture... but it's not.  Come on Olive Garden!  Don't you know that bloggers need to take pictures in your restaurant?!?!  What's with the poor lighting?  Just kidding OG, just keep making me that Zuppa Toscana and I'll be happy with you.

Peyton did not eat soup.  She is only 18 months old.  That would have been a disaster.  Spaghetti, however was not at all a disaster.

I think Marinara Red is your color Pey!  Vandis is not so sure...

But what does he know, he's just a boy!

Jillian, Erika and I enjoyed time together talking, laughing, and planning a possible trip to Tulsa to see Emily this June!  So fun :) We knew it was probably time to go when this happened...

She was just faking sleeping... but I wanted to leave before her slap-happy turned into "child, I will slap you upside the head if you don't stop screaming" Don't worry though... it didn't get there...

Tired eyes are my FAVORITE :)

We went home and the kids took a nap while I was going to be SUPER PRODUCTIVE by responding to some messages, writing thank-you cards, starting this blog post, cleaning my disastrous kitchen... IMPORTANT things.  Instead I fell asleep at my computer after task #1 was halfway complete. Fail.

I woke up to Peyton talking away in her crib at 6:17.  I was supposed to be at church at 6.  Perfect.  We ended up getting there slightly later than planned... but don't worry... we brought pizza so they weren't mad :)  Peyton got to spend a bit of time with her favorite boy Austin...

so she was happy!

Now, we are all 3 home. and very much looking forward to tomorrow, our day off!

Hope you had a FABULOUS weekend!
